Professor Clare Hutton

Clare Hutton, Professor of Literature and Book History (Loughborough University), will discuss her current monograph-in-progress, The House of Irish Books: Ireland, Publishing and Literary Culture, 1886-1922.  In particular she will consider the way in which Joyce’s Ulysses depicts the materialities of book production and consumption in the Dublin of 1904, and the ways in which Joyce creatively reworks his own authorial experiences.
